He's a little early, perhaps. She's a little old to be a first time mother. It's not exactly the safest pregnancy or delivery, and there are definitely some scares.
But they all get through it just fine. Edgar Andrew Caustello-Reynolds enters the world with a squalling cry both his namesakes would be proud of, and his mother stays in the world with a fire and fight that his namesakes would smile over.
She's still exhausted, of course, but she'll be smiling. She'll hold and coo over her child with a kind of joy that would have been surprising to see on her face not even a year ago.
She's absolutely shining with happiness, and it's most likely going to be contagious.
